  • The Devils fell to the Rangers, 4-0, in the second of four contests of the 2019-20 regular season series.
  • The club allowed two short handed goals while being shutout for the first time in team history *credit Craig Seiden, NJD Radio
  • New Jersey falls to 3-3-1 against Metropolitan Division rivals this season, and 1-1-0 against New York Rangers in the season series.
  • New Jersey was 1-2 on the penalty kill tonight, and 0-8 on the power play. The last time New Jersey was 0-8 on the an advantage was on Dec. 31, 2016 vs. WSH (0-9). *credit Criag Seiden, NJD Radio
  • The Devils outshot the Rangers, 33-23.
  • New Jersey was 17-34 (50%) in face-offs tonight.
  • Today’s matinee marks the fifth time the Devils have been shutout this season (first at home).
  • The Devils are 7-2-1 at Prudential Center and 8-4-3 overall against the Rangers since the 2015-16 season. New Jersey will matchup with the Blue Shirts for the third time, Jan. 9 at MSG.

  • Mackenzie Blackwood got his 17th start of the 2019-20 season for New Jersey, stopping 19 of 23 shots faced in regulation. Blackwood falls to 8-7-3 this season.
