Team Notes

  • The New Jersey Devils suffered their first regulation loss at home after establishing a franchise-record 8-0-2 start through the first 10 home games of 2016-17.
  • The Devils lost their second consecutive game and have been out-scored, 3-9, over that span.
  • The Devils finished their fifth of 18 sets of back-to-back games this season. They are 1-2-2 in first games and 3-1-1 in second games of back-to-backs.
  • The Devils face-off against the Blues again next Thursday in St. Louis for their season-series finale. New Jersey is 1-6-0 vs. St. Louis overall since the 2013-14 season.
  • The Devils are 3-2-2 against the Central Division and are 6-5-2 vs. Western Conference opponents in 2016-17.
  • The Devils were 0-3 on the power play but are 4-13 (30.8%) with the man-advantage over the past five games.

Player Notes

  • P.A. Parenteau scored his sixth goal of the season at 6:36 of the second period. It was his first goal since Nov. 8 vs. Car (14 games).
  • Taylor Hall notched an assist on Parenteau’s marker and he extended his points streak to four games (3g-5a-8pts). Tonight was his 400th career NHL game.
  • Adam Henrique also had an assist to Parenteau’s tally. He has three points (1g-2a) over the last two games.
  • Keith Kinkaid made his seventh start of the season in goal and fell to 3-2-1. He stopped 28 of 32 shots.
  • Damon Severson led New Jersey with a season-high 24:24 TOI. 
  • Michael Cammalleri appeared in his 800th career NHL game.
  • John Moore skated in his 100th game with New Jersey. 
  • Beau Bennett led the Devils with four shots on net tonight.
