- Cory Schneider stopped all 36 shots he faced, including 13 in the third period, to record his second shutout in his last six starts (Dec. 15 at Buffalo) & his third of the season overall. It was his 11th ShO with New Jersey and the 20th of his NHL career. Schneider improved to 10-4-2 on the road/16-10-5 overall. He’s now allowed two goals or less in 18 of his last 24 starts since Oct. 29.
- Mike Cammalleri scored 2g to record his second multi-goal game (also, 2g-1a-3pts Dec. 3 at Carolina)/tenth multiple-point game of the season. Cammalleri gave the Devils a 1-0 lead with his third power play goal of 2015-16, an unassisted tally at 9:11 of the first period. He put the Devils ahead 2-0 with his 14th goal of the season at the 18:08 mark of the first.
- Cammalleri scored his first game-winning goal of the season. He led the Devils/was tied for third in the NHL with eight GWG in 2014-15.
- Lee Stempniak also scored, a shorthanded/empty-net goal at 19:44 of the third. He has points in ten of the last 14 games (4g-6a-10pts) and, with 9g-19a-28pts overall, has matched his total from all of last season (15g-13a-28pts in 71 games). - Andy Greene appeared in his 267th consecutive game (dating back to Mar. 6, 2012), and has passed Aaron Broten (266, Dec. 6, 1982-Feb. 15, 1986) for sole-possession of the seventh-longest games-played stretch in Devils’ history.
