Game Notes

  • New Jersey out shot Boston, 30-21.
  • The Devils’ penalty-kill unit was 2/7, and the club was 0/6 on the power play.
  • Keith Kinkaid (12 saves/1 goal against) made the start in goal and was replaced by Scott Wedgewood (8 saves, 1 goal against) midway through the second period.
  • Kyle Palmieri and Sergey Kalinin led New Jersey with four shots on goal each.
  • John Quenneville and Pavel Zacha both made their NHL pre-season debut. Zacha,was the sixth overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Quenneville was chosen 30th overall by the Devils in 2014.
