The 2014 IIHF World Championships concluded yesterday in Minsk, Belarus. Head Coach Peter DeBoer served as an Assistant for Team Canada under Dave Tippett, Jaromir Jagr represented the Czech Republic, Damien Brunner played for Team Switzerland and Raman Hrabarenka skated for Belarus.
Jagr had four shots on goal in the Czech Republic’s 3-0 loss to Sweden yesterday in the Bronze Medal game. He led the Czech squad with 4g-4a-8pts in ten games overall.
Brunner scored a goal in Switzerland’s 3-2 victory over Latvia on Tuesday and had 3g-3a-6pts in seven games overall. The Swiss team finished the tournament with a record of 3-0-1-3.
Hrabarenka and team Belarus lost, 2-1, to Sweden in the Quarterfinals on Thursday. He finished with two assists and was +6 in eight games in the tournament.
Team Canada lost, 3-2, to Finland on Thursday in the Quarterfinals and was eliminated.
