Game Notes

  • Cory Schneider improved to 3-0-0. He held the Flyers scoreless until 18:29 of the third period, snapping his shutout streak at 158:29. Schneider has stopped 69/70 shots he’s faced during the pre-season. He also made the save on Jakub Voracek’s penalty shot attempt in the second period.
  • Marek Zidlicky gave the Devils a 1-0 lead, his first of the pre-season, 6:37 into the contest. He also led the club with five shots on goal tonight.
  • Ryane Clowe returned to the lineup after missing two games with a lower body injury and collected the primary assist on Zidlicky’s goal.
  • Patrik Elias picked up the secondary assist and now has 1g-2a-3pts in two pre-season games.
  • Mike Sislo scored the game-winner, his first of the pre-season, at 7:34 of the third.
  • Rod Pelley was credited with the primary assist on Sislo’s marker.
  • Jacob Josefson was in the lineup tonight and also assisted on Sislo’s goal. He is the only Devil to play in each of the team’s five games thus far.
  • Damien Brunner, who signed a multi-year contract earlier in the day, was in the lineup.

  • Tomorrow: New Jersey’s training camp schedule will continue Wednesday with one practice session- 11:00am- at the AmeriHealth Pavilion.
  • Next Game: Thursday vs. Philadelphia at Prudential Center (7:00 PM).
