Carter had 1g-1a-2pts as the U.S. defeated Russia 8-3 in the Quarterfinal Round yesterday. Sweden defeated Canada, 3-2 in the shootout, while the Czech Republic lost to Switzerland, 2-1, yesterday as well. Finland defeated Slovakia, 4-3, in the other Quarterfinal match. The United Stated will face Switzerland and Sweden will take on Finland in the Semifinals tomorrow.
